Actor Michel O’Brien
Michele is an actor, award-winning storyteller, presenter and early years practitioner. She had a website that her brother had built for her many years ago and it had become clunky and hard to navigate as things had been added over time.
She also founded Valise Noire, a storytelling company, in 2011 along with two fellow actors. It has since grown and developed to include other contributors. They create, tell and interpret women’s stories through oral and visual forms.
Michele approached me to create a new website that brought together and showcased both offerings under one roof. She also wanted somewhere that she could house audios of her different voice styles and videos to attract prospective commissions. The biggest job was to reorganise all the information that was on the original site and include new work as well, in a way that was easy to navigate for visitors to the site. Together we decided on a colour palette that used several complimentary shades of Michele’s favourite colour, green.
