Working with Richard on his website was a breath of fresh air. Although he’s a coach and mentor within the manufacturing industry, he didn’t want his website to be too businessy looking and hard sell, like so many of his competitors’ sites.
Richard specialises in working with the woodworking industry so it seemed obvious to me to photograph him outside amongst trees rather than in an office environment. Brent Jones did a fantastic job of the photos and put camera-shy Richard at ease from the get-go. Glen Wilkins created a striking logo that suggests growth in a very subtle way using Richard’s favourite colour - burnt orange. My aim was to design a site that created an environment where visitors would make a connection with Richard immediately and see he was friendly, warm and approachable but above all, very good at his job and results-driven.
“A Fantastic Experience! As I am not very good at getting my thoughts down on paper the thought of building a website was a daunting prospect.
I started my search and found Caroline and I really loved her work as she used a lot of space on the websites she had previously created, and I really liked the tone she used, all aspects really resonated with me.
