Something Different Consulting
Leonie McCarthy and John Gillespie founded Something Different Consultancy as a way to articulate what they do and why people hire them. The thing I love is they’re not just another consultancy. They are all about connecting with communities, service users, commissioners and service delivery staff in ways that really hear them. Their aim is to help change conversations around intractable areas of community suffering, such as racism, poverty and loneliness.
They wanted the website to be bold and eye-catching and didn’t want to use the usual standard ‘therapy-style’ library shots. It was immediately obvious to me we should play on the words ‘Something Different’ and really emphasise that. It was time to call in my very talented colleague Glen Wilkins to create a cool, animated graphic. I think he did a fabulous job.

Glen created these bold, graphic GIFs for Something Different Consultancy and it’s sister site Something Different Therapy Community – a network of psychotherapists and counsellors.
“I have worked with Caroline on a couple of website design projects over the last few years. I would go back to her again because she has a capacity to get inside the business, and tune in to the kind of visual vibe that goes with the concept. The most recent time when Caroline designed Something Different Consulting for us, I engaged her quite early on since I intuited her involvement would help us finesse our pitch and add value beyond the website to support brand articulation and development. She delivers quickly, and fits in easily alongside other team members. She is willing to give and receive feedback so that we get the right result. Visually her work is always striking and inviting. Caroline is easy to work with, and offers excellent value for money.”
