The Keepers Project
The Keepers Project is a collaboration between artist David Clegg and photographer Thierry Bal. The project documents threatened environments made by self-taught artists. The site's main function is a gallery to showcase each of the projects. The photographs are key and need to be displayed and seen at a good size. Viewers can scroll the galleries at their leisure while listening to recorded interviews with the artists – or those preserving their legacy – record the history of each environment and address the financial, physical, and emotional challenges of preservation.
