West Cork AcuPoint Clinic
I was delighted when Claire contacted me to design her website. She’s based in Ireland and had seen Alex Daly’s website that I’d designed and liked the approach. West Cork Acupoint Clinic is all about the transformative power of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture to promote holistic well-being. Claire specialises in treating a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, stress, anxiety, digestive disorders, fertility issues, musculoskeletal issues and more.
We felt the site should reflect both the beauty of the Irish landscape and Claire’s connection with nature as well as incorporating the very important aspect of Chinese Medicine. Rather than taking the traditional, clinical, clean, white approach we decided on a rich, dark green colour palette with touches of gold to represent the landscape and the holistic aspect of Claire’s offerings.
Claire knew she wanted her logo to contain a peacock. We worked together with Glen Wilkins to create a design that incorporated an oriental inspired peacock, a nod to the Chinese medicine, and a radiating sun symbol, with dots to echo acupuncture points, to represent the healing aspect of Claire’s work.
